Job Purpose

The role covers Pakistan & Middle East Asia (Pakistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, GCC countries in the Middle East). The purpose is to ensure the delivery of an effective, consistent, high-quality Occupational Health service to all GSK bio-pharma businesses (e.g., Supply Chain, R&D, Commercial) in the region, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through GSK matrix or third-party providers. The role involves supporting local implementation of enterprise-wide and country-specific OH programs, managing vendor relationships, ensuring service quality, and promoting health and wellbeing initiatives. Focus areas include governance, clinical oversight, and regional health program integration.

Education, Experience & Skills
  • Masters or Doctorate in Occupational/Public Health or equivalent
  • 10+ years experience in strategic application of Occupational Health in business operations, collaborating with EHS, HR, and other partners
  • Experience leading occupational health teams in an international or multinational environment, preferably in pharma, chemical, or related industries
  • Ability to develop risk assessments, management systems, and governance processes at various organizational levels using population data
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee health professionals across the region to deliver global OH priorities
  • Provide licensed physician oversight and governance to mitigate health risks
  • Manage vendor contracts, ensuring service quality, compliance, and risk escalation
  • Coordinate with senior leaders to align occupational health services with business strategies
  • Develop local health and wellbeing plans, monitor emerging trends, and integrate public health initiatives
  • Support public health emergency planning and response
  • Advise business leaders on health and wellbeing risks and opportunities
  • Track performance metrics, escalate issues, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Mentor and develop health professionals within the team
