Job Description

Serving as a Registrar in the Urology Department involves diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses. Responsibilities include examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. The role also entails counseling patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their individual cases.

Accountabilities

  1. Assess patients and document findings.
  2. Design and execute the patient’s care plan.
  3. Educate patients on their health conditions, investigations, treatment options, and medication use.
  4. Promote health and disease prevention.
  5. Order and review investigation results.
  6. Prescribe medications.
  7. Maintain accurate patient records.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
  9. Adhere to Nahdi Care Clinics policies, bylaws, strategic plans, rules, and regulations.
  10. Align with NCC’s mission, vision, and practice guidelines.
  11. Participate actively in NCC committees and task forces.
  12. Comply with CBAHI standards of care.
  13. Establish and maintain effective relationships with other departments, agencies, vendors, patients, and families.
  14. Complete fire safety requirements.
  15. Follow clinical and departmental standards, including attendance.
  16. Engage in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities to meet quality standards and regulations.
  17. Contribute to the professional development of junior staff.
  18. Utilize evidence-based practices.
  19. Incorporate population factors such as heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
  20. Support and develop ongoing medical education activities.

Specialty Tasks

  1. Perform tasks based on training, experience, skills, and Saudi health council guidelines.
  2. Undertake additional tasks related to specialty and clinical privileges.

The employee's duties are not limited to those listed; the manager may assign other duties as needed.

Work Environment

  3. Working Days: 6 days per week
  4. Days Off: 1 day
  5. Working Hours: 8 hours per shift, according to the approved schedule.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from a recognized university.
  • Master’s degree in a related specialty from a recognized university or Fellowship with SCFHS approval.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience after obtaining a Master’s degree or eligibility to sit for the board examination in the specialty.

SCFHS License

  • Licensed as a Registrar in the relevant specialty from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Office and Health Information Systems.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both speaking and writing.
