Construction Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Construction Supervisor to oversee and monitor all relevant contractor electrical construction activities. The successful candidate will ensure work aligns with the planned project schedule, specifications, and safety standards, delivering results on time and within budget.

1. Supervise and monitor electrical construction activities to meet project schedule, specifications, safety, and budget requirements.
2. Ensure work complies with Project Execution and HSE Management Plans.
3. Execute construction plans through detailed planning and daily field supervision.
4. Prepare resource forecasts and monitor costs and trends.
5. Establish and implement construction schedules and strategies, including planning, programming, and completion schedules.
6. Align construction activities with schedules, methods, resources, materials, and equipment needs.
7. Manage scope, cost, time, and schedule changes effectively.
8. Control project expectations regarding labor, equipment, materials, and services, ensuring field operations stay within budget.
9. Coordinate with field planners to ensure the execution plan is logical, achievable, and well-resourced.
10. Provide supervision and direction to employees, subcontractors, and field supervisors.
11. Monitor labor and industrial relations, coordinating with relevant groups to ensure policy adherence.
12. Make recommendations for subcontractor engagement and review major subcontract variations.
13. Delegate responsibilities to field staff, including craft supervision, contract administration, and field office management.
14. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and the Construction Manager.
15. Establish and maintain good client relationships, aiming for high customer satisfaction.
16. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and contract terms.
17. Identify and manage project risks to ensure team cohesion and project success.
18. Foster a proactive work environment focused on project goals.

Experience & Qualifications

1. Experience as a Construction Supervisor/Superintendent on major industrial projects.
2. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
3. Experience in major greenfield power generation projects.
4. Knowledge of construction management systems, processes, and tools.
5. Strong technical, practical, and leadership skills; ability to deliver quality work timely.
6. Previous technical and supervisory experience in construction.
7. Trade experience with supervisory roles.
8. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant software.
