What you'll be doing

Develop and implement customs strategies across the region. Maintain relationships with customs agencies and government authorities for goods classification and declaration. Collaborate with suppliers and customs brokers, analyzing economic impacts of product origin or classification changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Information and Data Management: Support Master Data management with origin SPOCs.
  2. Reporting to Senior Management: Provide updates on customs broker and government agency performance to the Transport Director.
  3. Oversee Quality and Performance: Monitor and improve documentation quality for customs declarations.
  4. Advise on Cost-Effective Solutions: Offer guidance on savings through duty drawbacks based on origin and classification.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with all relevant regulations and monitor adherence to processes, terms, and timeframes.
  6. Billing and Invoicing: Ensure accurate billing and monitor customs broker invoices for correctness.
  7. Customs and Regulatory Management: Oversee compliance with customs, dangerous goods, and other regulations.
  8. Stakeholder Relations: Develop relationships with customs and regulatory agencies across the region.
  9. Audit Management: Ensure proper recording of shipments and manage audit requests.
  10. Communication and Meetings: Attend operational meetings to resolve issues and improve performance.
  11. Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Provide accurate reports and demonstrate adaptability and commitment to improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Team Development: Train and support team members.
  2. Compliance and Integrity: Report breaches and take corrective actions regarding quality, health & safety, environmental, and security protocols.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in managing import/export customs operations and clearance.
  • Strong understanding of logistics regulations, customs, and incoterms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large data sets.
  • Knowledge of ISO, OHSAS, and environmental management systems is a plus.
  • SAP experience.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
