Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience to oversee architectural design review, coordination, and compliance on a major PMC project. The role involves working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure that architectural aspects of the project align with the design intent, statutory requirements, and project specifications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Review and approve architectural design submissions from consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and regulations.
  2. Ensure architectural design quality by maintaining aesthetic consistency, functional practicality, and technical feasibility.
  3. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, civil, landscape) to ensure integrated design and construction solutions.
  4. Provide technical input during all project stages: concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction supervision.
  5. Participate in design workshops, value engineering exercises, and reviews with stakeholders.
  6. Monitor compliance with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability requirements (LEED, Estidama, etc.).
  7. Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and RFIs from contractors.
  8. Conduct site visits and inspections to verify architectural works align with approved designs.
  9. Mentor junior architects and review their work for quality and consistency.
  10. Prepare architectural reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited university (Master's preferred).
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and supervision, including at least 5 years in a PMC or consultancy role.
  3. Strong knowledge of architectural codes, materials, detailing, and finishes.
  4. Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and visualization tools.
  5. Familiarity with BIM processes and interdisciplinary coordination.
  6. Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and standards.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
