Job description

Wood is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and oversee structural/infrastructure works, including various building types, equipment foundations, and pipe/cable tray supports, with experience in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refineries, offshore, mining, or infrastructure industries.
  2. Develop new engineering deliverables and revise existing ones, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  3. Supervise junior engineers' work and conduct training as needed.
  4. Plan work to be completed within allocated man-hours, avoiding delays.
  5. Coordinate effectively with the Project Manager and team members, managing work delegation and team billability.
  6. Collaborate with all disciplines to incorporate their inputs into deliverables.
  7. Visit sites to verify conditions, markup drawings, and perform as-built activities.
  8. Manage submission of deliverables, ensuring quality and proper record keeping.
  9. Prepare technical reports and presentations.
  10. Maintain full knowledge of relevant standards (Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC, HCIS).
  11. Participate in technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents, and manage subcontract scopes.
Qualifications

Ability to perform capacity and adequacy calculations, develop foundation, column, slab/beam layouts, schedules, and manage scope for geotechnical and topographic surveys.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Navisworks, SmartPlant review, STAAD Pro, STAAD Foundation, and Revit.
Preferred Skills
  • Modularization, Microstation, AutoCAD, SACS, Dyna6.
