Supply Chain Specialist Job Description

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day supply chain logistics and streamlining processes related to order processing, procurement, and demand fulfillment to increase productivity and meet customer expectations.

  1. Monitor supplier performance: Ensure compliance with contracts, timely deliveries, and quality standards.
  2. Inventory management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize costs, and prevent stockouts or overstocks.
  3. Demand forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate forecasts based on data, market trends, and upcoming promotions.
  4. Logistics coordination: Arrange shipments, manage freight costs, and track delivery schedules, working closely with carriers to optimize routes and transit times.
  5. Reporting: Report KPIs through WM system and other tools to optimize supply chain processes.
  6. Materials management: Reallocate materials to reduce travel distance and improve picking efficiency.
  7. Process improvement: Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency, warehouse capacity, and reduce costs.
  8. Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  9. Risk management: Develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
Education and Experience

Proven experience as a Supply Chain Specialist or similar role, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes.
