Role Description
The Veterinary Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling veterinary products, services, and solutions to veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, pet retailers, and other relevant clients. This role involves building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored recommendations to meet those needs, ultimately driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets by promoting and selling the company's veterinary products.
Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary professionals, clinic staff, and decision-makers.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely product delivery.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a deep understanding of the company's product line, including features, benefits, and proper usage.
Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical support as needed.
Market Research and Strategy:
Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and customer needs.
Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams to improve offerings.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports to management.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical practices in veterinary sales.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in veterinary science, animal health, biology, business, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
Previous sales experience in veterinary or pet health industries is highly desirable.
Knowledge of veterinary products and services is a plus.
