Job description

The Army Aviation Logistics Quality Control Specialist (PMO)

  1. Contributes input towards the development and implementation of an analytics-driven procurement process for continual improvement.
  2. Performs oversight and guidance to contractor personnel performing logistics support actions for the RSLFAC.
  3. Ensures compliance with customer and contractor supply chain procedures, DCMA, FARs, and DFARs.
  4. Assists contract personnel and approved government personnel in resolving problems.
  5. Provides guidance regarding established procedures according to directives, quality procedures, work standards, and operational policies.
  6. Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of quality discrepancies.
  7. Must be able to lead small groups independently and provide oversight updates to program and government leadership.
  8. Monitors supplier performance, issues supplier corrective actions, and makes recommendations to the program manager for supplier corrections.
  9. Works with the supply chain to minimize TAT for AOG and other high-priority items.
  10. Builds relationships with industry suppliers.
  11. Generates reports and validates the accuracy of contract deliverables.
  12. Performs other qualified duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Two (2) years of experience as a Logistics / Supply Chain analyst.
  3. Five (5) years of experience within the US Army Supply Chain / Logistics fields.
  4. Broad working knowledge of aviation logistics, quality control techniques and standards, FAA regulations, and US Army technical publications (desired).
  5. Exceptional communication, leadership, and personnel management skills.
  6. Valid Driver’s License.
  7. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government “Confidential” Clearance; US citizenship required.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
  9. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  10. Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  11. Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and in environments with noise, fumes, airborne particles, electrical hazards, or moving mechanical parts.
  12. May be required to travel.
