Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Analyze financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Monitor and analyze project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate with project managers to track expenses and ensure budget compliance.
- Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Supervise AP/AR functions, including vendor payments, client billing, and collections.
- Ensure timely invoicing and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT, and financial regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Oversee payroll accounting and compliance with labor regulations.
- Maintain and account for company fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
- Optimize accounting processes and systems, such as ERP software Dynamics AX365.
- Assist with the implementation of financial modules and software upgrades.
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Professional certification is preferred).
Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Professional certification is preferred).
- Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, project accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Familiarity with construction ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics AX365).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
