Metallurgical Engineer

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgical Engineer who will be primarily responsible for the failure analysis inspections, operations, reporting and consultation services.

This position will be based in Dammam, KSA.

Responsibilities

• Supervision, conducting and reporting of failure analysis
• Presentation of technical work in different platforms, both written and oral in a confident manner
• Exhibit pragmatic and innovative approaches with respect to both the conduct of the investigation and providing solutions for the client
• Review technical documents and construct a suitable scope of work
• Estimate the work effort required and assist in the commercial breakdown of the work
• Supervise routine metallographic examinations and review/compose standard reporting comments

Skills / Qualifications

• Experience and recognized qualification in Metallurgy
• Experience in conducting and reporting of root cause failure analysis
• Experience in working with SEM / EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy / Energy Dispersive analysis)
• Experience working in an ISI 17025 laboratory environment
• Proven supervisory skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• The ability to assess and respond to client requirements appropriately
• Ability to operate and function within a team, drawing on other expertise where required
• Flexibility and adaptability to different workloads and roles within the company
