Responsibilities
- Responsible for data center project execution and management, including monitoring the progress of building data centers.
- Lead and support the selection of EPC contractors and manage contracts.
- Apply accurate risk and opportunity mapping for each project to understand profiles and define proper mitigation strategies, considering technical and commercial aspects.
- Develop and implement strategies for the construction of data centers.
- Coordinate with EPC companies, monitor site progress to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee planning and design of construction drawings, control drawing quality, and ensure smooth departmental operations, including project changes and cost audits.
- Manage quality control of works, monitor schedules, materials, and equipment, investigate and analyze quality issues, and advise on remedies. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Conduct daily site visits and hold regular meetings with site agents, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to address issues and difficulties.
Experience & Qualifications
- University degree in Building Services, Structural, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- 15+ years of experience in data center design, construction, and operation.
- Proven expertise in data center design and engineering operations, with a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
- Technically and commercially savvy, capable of structuring data center business models.
- Knowledge of the ITIL framework is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with experience in AutoCAD or BIM modeling.
- Strong knowledge of technical and techno-commercial aspects.
