Job Scope

Maintaining the safety and health of employees and the safety work environment by ensuring the implementation of safety policies and procedures, documenting and reporting work-related injuries or accidents, detecting system vulnerabilities, and recommending proactive procedures.

Education

Job Requirements: B.A. degree in Engineering, Science, or any related field to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment.

Experience

3 - 5 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry and/or a large facility.

Language

Proficiency in written, reading, and spoken Arabic and English languages.

Professional Knowledge

• National and international health and safety laws and policies (WHO, MOH & EU Regulations)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and suggest process improvements.
• Prepare and ensure proper implementation of emergency plans, coordinating with civil defense and local authorities as needed.
• Provide safety training for MSPS employees regarding regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Detect system vulnerabilities, recommend, and implement proactive actions, staying updated on latest safety procedures and equipment.
• Maintain firefighting equipment to high standards and ensure it is always operational.
• Conduct fire prevention and equipment inspections, keeping records up to date in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate fire protection plans, emergency responses, and activities with authorities and other departments.
• Participate in hazardous materials cleanup and deploy specialist equipment as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, including fires, chemical spills, injuries, or other incidents.
• Investigate causes of fires, accidents, and injuries, analyze trends, and recommend solutions.
• Conduct safety inspections, advise on PPE, hazards, and violations, and prepare inspection reports.
• Ensure safety posters and rules are prominently displayed in compliance with Saudi labor law.
• Maintain records of inspections and investigations.
• Report irregularities such as hazards, unsafe acts, or equipment malfunctions.
• Develop and enforce environmental policies, monitor environmental quality, and handle pollution incidents.
