Job description

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Sr. Vendor Manager for Automotive Category in KSA. This role will focus on managing existing vendors and onboarding new vendors to scale the Automotive category in KSA.

The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for building relationships with vendors, adding selection, managing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and developing their team. The best candidate will have a broad skill set, including leadership development, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiation skills, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience for our customers.


The successful candidate would possess great business judgment, with a track record of strong project delivery, commercial negotiations, and relationship management along with deep analytical acumen. Additionally, this position involves working with multiple stakeholders (marketing, marketplace, legal, supply chain, operations among others).


This is an external-facing role with close collaboration with external vendors to build selection from local and international vendors.


Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Support Category leader to drive new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the organization.
  2. Build strategic partnerships, align and close end-to-end vendor relationships and terms of trade, operating model contracts.
  3. Build the annual portfolio to drive continuous traffic and engagement to the storefront.
  4. Identify automation opportunities to offer scalable solutions, improve all key input metrics such as selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.
  5. Post-launch, own the P&L for hitting top and bottom-line targets and drive projects to improve profitability with critical stakeholders (Vendor, Ops, Advertising).
  6. Source deals during Tier 1 & Tier 2 events to ensure we continue to offer value to our Prime Customers.
  7. Ensure content quality is best in class to improve conversion.
  8. Negotiate marketing funds from vendors for category visibility during BAU/Events.
  9. Prepare, pitch & close Annual JBP with vendors.
  10. Conduct MBR / QBR with vendors on performance & improvement.

Minimum Requirements
  1. 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  3. MBA.
  4. Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  5. Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  6. Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
  7. Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  8. Experience handling heavy & bulky categories.
