Job Purpose

To enable local real-time Contract Engineering support; we are seeking an enthusiastic Contracts Engineer to join our close-knit team at Lucy Electric. The role involves consulting with clients to communicate their application needs to our development and engineering teams, demonstrating our products to customers when required, providing local technical support, and generating contract drawings, options, and Bills of Material (BOMs) to meet customer needs.

This position offers a great development opportunity for a motivated self-starter to learn about Lucy products and their application in the electricity industry.

Job Context

The role provides local support for a wider Contract and Engineering team, requiring close interaction with design, contract, and technical engineers. Responsibilities include creating contract drawings and engineering BOMs for both internal and external customers in KSA and overseas, developing and testing new features for switchgear products, and preparing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Liaising with customers during product inspections and responding to technical queries to ensure product compliance is also essential.

Job Dimensions

This role is office-based at the company premises in Dammam and reports to the Customer Operations Manager based in Dubai.

Key Accountabilities

• Liaise with Sales, Contracts, Engineering, and global Operations staff to meet customer requirements within specified timescales, budgets, and operational constraints.
• Interpret customer requirements and internal specifications to produce detailed designs using 3D CAD.
• Issue drawings and BOMs to the factory and customers using the Lucy CAD system.
• Develop secondary designs for specific customers outside the standard configurator system, including prototype trials.
• Contribute to achieving the budgeted annual sales target.
• Work in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Adapt to high-pressure, developing environments and continuously improve departmental standards and quality.
• Adhere to all company health and safety policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
• Undertake other duties as required to improve department efficiency, quality, and service.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of manufacturing, people management, financial considerations, quality management, and innovation.
