Overview

We are seeking a Technology Consultant to join the Global Manufacturing Excellence Digitalization and Technology Division (GME D&TD).

GME is the recognized Center of Excellence driving value across Saudi Aramco’s downstream global manufacturing portfolio. D&TD is responsible for leading the technology function, collaborating across various downstream functions and at a corporate level.

Primary Role

Your primary role is to support the development and deployment of technology management programs aimed at providing technical support across Saudi Aramco’s global manufacturing portfolio. You will ideate, introduce, deploy, and sustain novel and innovative technological solutions within various domains including reliability, maintenance, sustainability, energy, and process.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the end-to-end implementation of technologies across the downstream portfolio including petrochemical facilities, refineries, terminals, bulk plants, and gas plants.
2. Develop comprehensive, value-adding technology roadmaps aligned with business challenges such as energy optimization, sustainability, plant availability, debottlenecking, and process optimization.
3. Accelerate technology deployment by working closely with internal and external agencies and vendors.
4. Conduct feasibility studies including technical and economic evaluations of solutions, platforms, and new technologies.
5. Perform technology scouting to identify innovative and value-adding technologies.
6. Develop business cases and cost/benefit analyses for technology deployment.
7. Collaborate with other consultants, engineers, and project managers to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet technical and business requirements.
8. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress and benefits of technology initiatives to stakeholders and senior management.
9. Work with technology providers to develop and conduct tailored training programs for end-users.
10. Recognize and implement necessary changes to standards and governance.
11. Stay informed of global and regional industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting technology implementations.
12. Ensure compliance with corporate governance and standards, and evaluate solution implementations.
13. Provide technical leadership and support to design, development, and operational teams.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical). A Master’s degree is preferred.
2. 15 years of experience as a Technology Consultant, including scouting, introducing, and tracking value-added technology deployment.
3. Good understanding of downstream technologies, including refinery processes.
4. Experience in developing business cases and benefit/cost analyses for downstream technology.
5. Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams across the project lifecycle.
6. Strong understanding of management of change, engineering, design, safety, and regulatory requirements.
7. Experience in change management and technology implementation.
8. Knowledge of industry energy, safety, and design regulations and standards.
9. Understanding of manufacturing technology solutions related to production, reliability, environmental, safety, and sustainability.
10. Proven project management skills with successful delivery of complex projects in the O&G sector.
11. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
