Job description

# Purchasing & Planning Supervisor

Maintain Suppliers records up to date. Maintain purchasing data base up to date. Maintain tracking records of all POs and update OMs regularly. Implement a system to track goods & services POs to ensure timely delivery. Highlight risks of price increases or shortages in materials due to supplier issues. Update the price matrix monthly. Ensure a minimum of three suppliers per item to safeguard supply chain stability. Develop favorable payment terms with suppliers and aim to reduce cash purchases. Improve response times for procurement requests from functional departments. Reduce gaps in the PSR / PO / RIR process. Lead the procurement team through all phases, negotiating prices, terms, and conditions. Report on department KPIs and analyze deviations. Maintain comprehensive records of supplier evaluations and audit action plans, closing all open items promptly. Collaborate professionally with auditors and keep all purchasing records organized.

Production Planning:

Responsible for production planning, including sampling and maintenance activities. Ensure effective communication with all related departments. Optimize production and equipment scheduling to reduce changeovers and meet changeover objectives.

Education/Professional Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.

Experience:

5-8 years in purchasing, with 1-3 years in supply chain or manufacturing environments, preferably in plastics, packaging, or spare parts. Experience with foreign and local purchasing processes, in Saudi Arabia, with previous supervisory or managerial roles.
