A leading company in the Sanitary and Lighting Industry in Riyadh is seeking a Procurement Specialist. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods while managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies. Procurement is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods or services needed by the company while ensuring cost efficiency and quality. The role also involves managing supplier relationships and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
• Participate in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services as per project or operational needs.
• Assist in or lead the identification and evaluation of suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Support or conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders and procurement documentation.
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and handle delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and update supplier information regularly.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather requirements and ensure proper supply planning.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Contribute to or lead efforts in market research and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with inventory, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience in the retail industry, preferably in lighting, sanitary ware, or electrical appliances
• Proven experience in international procurement, especially importing from China
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or procurement systems
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Solid knowledge of contract terms and supplier evaluation, appropriate to the role level
