Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience, including 5 years of Middle East experience.

Job description

Review building plans and site design for aesthetics, environmental acceptability, compliance with codes and standards, and accessibility requirements. Develop new designs as per the codes and standards, and prepare plans and specifications where needed.

1. Present project design to clients for review and make recommendations to meet their needs.
2. Develop cost estimates, coordinate implementation of capital improvement projects, and develop construction bid proposals.
3. Support the client in commenting on the contractor's IFC architectural drawings.
4. Participate in final inspections of improvement projects and recommend acceptance of construction work. Support the client in all technical issues related to the discipline where necessary.
5. Act as a lead worker overseeing the activities of subordinate professional staff.
6. Prepare reports and correspondence.
7. Ensure all work aligns with Wood's core values.
8. Conduct all work with a positive attitude towards safety, both in design and in the office environment.
9. Contribute to the team as a discipline technical specialist as required.
10. Provide technical and architectural design support to projects as the lead architect where required.
11. Execute assigned work in accordance with project execution plans, applicable procedures, standards, within man-hour and cost budgets, and schedule targets.
12. Provide design and technical interface to project work with clients, departments, suppliers, vendors, and consultants.
13. Advise the chief architect on staff technical capabilities to support manpower allocation.
14. Review, support, and agree on project technical and design issues with the lead discipline engineer, including dissemination and implementation of best practices.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
