The Scientific Advisor Cell Therapy - Saudi Arabia is responsible to actively engage with Thought Leaders and to serve as the Therapeutic Area (TA) reference point within their geographic scope.


The Scientific Advisor is responsible to design and deliver the medical plan in collaboration with partners, to provide medical support to the internal matrix, and foster effective and open relationships & support the development of Brand Strategies in collaboration with BMS commercial by communicating medical insight and knowledge about the product or disease area in particular with reference to patients’ needs and treatment trends..


Key Responsibilities:


External Environment and Customer Focus


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Thought Leaders, appropriate HCPs, and access stakeholders, within a given geography to answer scientific, unsolicited product and HEOR related questions. The Scientific Advisor will use various channels for interactions (1:1, group presentation; remote, etc).


  • Effectively present information to HCPs, as appropriate, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives.


  • Actively profile the medical landscape and continuously update knowledge and expertise in products, patient treatment trends, unmet medical needs, clinical trials and scientific activities. Understand the competitive landscape and actively prepare to address informational needs of customers.


  • Collect and provide meaningful medical insights back to the medical and commercial organizations to be actioned in support of the strategy development


Medical Planning/Execution


  • Provide strategic input into the development of Brand plans, develop and execute local Medical Plan and TL Interaction plans.


  • Deliver scientifically meaningful medical program proposals and ensure flawless execution of medical activities


  • Identify potential speakers for BMS educational programs and ensure that these speakers receive all necessary product and disease state training.


Compliance


  • Endorse and implement a culture of compliance


  • Adhere to all internal and external rules and regulations


  • Alert management or the Compliance Department to any possible compliance issues


  • Act as a role model who demonstrates consistent ethical and professional behaviour.


Key Competency Requirements:


  • Highly organized, proactive and motivated individual possessing excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to learn about new subject areas and environments Quickly and comprehensively


  • Fluent in English and Arabic.


  • Role model in Compliance, Integrity & Inclusion.


Degree Requirements:


  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD)


Experience Requirements:


  • Strong Experience in Cell Therapy and Hematology


  • Relevant industry experience in Medical Affairs in a customer-facing role with thought leaders and key customers needed.


  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams including clinical, commercial, regulatory, pharmacovigilance as well as market-based and above market medical colleagues.


  • Experience in the Saudi Arabian healthcare environment & knowledge of local regulations & processes.


  • Ability to develop medical plans aligned with overall disease & product strategy and objectives
