The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project includes major mixed-use development such as sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-caliber and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

You’ll be responsible for:

1. Providing cost management services from inception to completion for ongoing and new commissions across various sectors.
2. Responsible for (area/discipline/specialism), utilizing advanced technical capabilities and discipline expertise.
3. Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies, contract selection, and preparing procurement reports.
4. Applying value management techniques at the start of a project.
5. Managing estimating and cost planning activities, including owning and presenting the final cost plan.
6. Contributing to procurement processes, ensuring effective prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection, and contract preparation.
7. Supervising the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds, licenses, and assisting in formal execution.
8. Advising on the administration of building contract terms.
9. Measuring valuations of work, ensuring effective cost checking and valuation work.
10. Ensuring proper cost control and reporting, including monthly post-contract cost reports to the client.
11. Identifying all costs related to design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
12. Evaluating claims for delays and additional costs from contractors and subcontractors/suppliers.
13. Providing advice on issuing certificates of making good defects and final completion.
14. Advising on certificates of practical completion and final account negotiations.
15. Managing a team of cost consultants, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
16. Implementing system and process improvements, driving transformational change.
17. Mentoring and training team members.
18. Sharing technical and domain expertise to upskill capabilities.
19. Developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.
20. Managing and influencing key stakeholders.
21. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and business enhancement plans.
22. Working towards net zero carbon transition, managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

You’ll need to have:

• Necessary visa criteria for Saudi Arabia and relevant high-value project experience in a project management consultancy for immigration and client approval.
• Experience delivering service excellence to clients.
• Proven experience in commercial management.
• Experience in risk management and change control management.
• Knowledge of various contract types, including measurement methods.
