ROLE OVERVIEW

The Strategy Lead supports the development of the strategy for Manufacturing and Innovation across NEOM, driving and optimizing the business plan. The Lead will lead or co-lead strategic projects and initiatives, providing insights and guidance to ensure the success of Oxagon’s objectives. This role involves cultivating strong stakeholder relationships, developing new strategic initiatives, and aligning business goals with Oxagon’s vision.

The Strategy Lead supports comprehensive projects/activities, including but not limited to:

  1. Developing and driving the Manufacturing/Industrial/Innovation strategy
  2. Developing and executing the Manufacturing Sector business plan
  3. Conducting benchmarking and market intelligence activities to provide insights into the wider organization
  4. Project managing strategic projects
  5. Stakeholder engagement
  6. Team operations

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Strategy Lead’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Functional Strategy & Leadership

  • Ensure the implementation of the function’s policies, procedures, and processes
  • Help review the operating model to optimize effectiveness
  • Formulate and drive strategic development aligned with the division’s strategy

People Management

  • Help identify, recruit, and develop resources to support the Group Strategy & Business Development function

Core Mandate

Developing and driving the Manufacturing/Industrial/Innovation strategy

  • Support updates and refinement of the Manufacturing Sector strategy
  • Drive synergies between departmental strategies for a streamlined organization
  • Set strategic targets and measure progress
  • Support creation of businesses aligned with strategic direction

Developing and executing the Manufacturing Sector business plan

  • Support the development and management of a comprehensive business plan
  • Run scenario analyses to evaluate proposals and maximize IRR

Market intelligence activities

  • Conduct industry trend analysis, benchmarking, and monitor sector developments
  • Recommend initiatives to capitalize on new opportunities
  • Promote data-driven decision-making within the sector

Project managing strategic projects

  • Support or co-lead key strategic projects from inception to completion

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities
  • Represent the Manufacturing Sector in NEOM projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration

Team Operations

  • Support team management and prepare for leadership meetings
  • Set and track team goals and objectives

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 5+ years in strategy development, business planning, or market intelligence, preferably in consulting or a large corporation
  • Exceptional presentation and MS Office skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
