Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic engineering professionals who pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests.

As a Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for all matters related to the repairs and maintenance of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. This includes maintaining all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, such as heating and ventilation systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Organizing and setting up preventive maintenance programs for all electrical and mechanical equipment, including general building works.
  2. Advising the General Manager and the Corporate Vice President - Engineering and Technical Services of any issues at all times.
  3. Supervising maintenance staff and contracted workers performing minor building works, electrical, and mechanical installations.
  4. Liaising with contractors, writing specifications for electrical, mechanical, and related building works, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and inspecting and approving completed works.
  5. Overseeing the maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and reporting any major defects.
  6. Maintaining up-to-date administration files, including drawings, specifications, equipment manuals, and technical maintenance records.
  7. Recommending and evaluating energy conservation programs and investigating wastage.
Skills and Qualifications

You should ideally hold a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with at least three years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Proficiency in written and spoken English, along with the ability to diagnose faults and rectify subsystems, is essential.
