The Proposal Manager position is an integral part of the development of pursuits and winning proposals who works closely with all key stakeholders to ensure consistency in the implementation of our business development process, the prequalification documents as well as the pursuit and tendering of opportunities. You will provide consistency through all stages of the proposal process to ensure the correct bid process is followed, incorporating lessons learnt from previous bids as part of the strategy development in conjunction with the Pursuit Leaders.
Responsibilities :
- Preparation of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes ensuring they align with Dar al Riyadh’s Business Development process
- Writing non-technical sections as required (i.e., executive summaries, past performance sections, management approaches, and resumes / staffing sections) and managing technical inputs by engaging with key stakeholders across the business
- Develop the requirements for each bid in a clear and understandable way.
- Workshop / storyboard content with proposal teams to coordinate the development of content to ensure it is compliant with the client’s requirements
- Coordinate and review / edit proposal input typically involving contributions across the entire business, from sales, commercial, finance, and delivery.
- Develop a proposal outline document, schedule / facilitate contributions of all parties, ensure RFP compliance, draft standard proposal sections, facilitate reviews, and perform quality control on final documents.
- Organize the necessary and appropriate management reviews during the proposal process, including the presentation of milestone updates and peer reviews and internal governance.
- Act as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and / or resolve problems.
- Communicate and influence at a senior level.
- Document template management in line with company branding.
Requirements :
- Previous experience in bid management in similar market sectors / industry, within Saudi Arabia and / or the GCC
- Strong English language and writing skills – including attention to detail and ability to write, proofread and edit material, as well as an aptitude for understanding technical terminology. Technical writing background is an asset.
- An eye for detail, not accepting second best and taking personal pride and responsibility for all aspects within their control.
- A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign.
- The ability to work professionally and collaboratively and build credibility with colleagues at all levels within the business.
- The ability to work positively under pressure and deliver quality output to deadlines, inspiring team members to work effectively within the bid team.
- Strong computer skills : Working knowledge of MS Office; Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Photoshop, and SharePoint Online is desirable.
