Summary

The High School PE Teacher will be an integral member of our educational program. The teacher will be responsible for delivering principles and methods of physical education curriculum and training design, helping high school students develop physical abilities and healthy habits.

Position Duties

The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To Effectively

1. Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
2. Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly-defined and documented curriculum.
3. Demonstrate effective teaching practices and adapt instructional techniques to the age and skill levels of students.
4. Demonstrate flexibility and creativity.
5. Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times.
6. Create innovative games and activities.
7. Provide students positive feedback to encourage them and help them develop an appreciation for physical education.
8. Observe, monitor, and record students' progress.
9. Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class.
10. Collaborate with colleagues.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the High School Assistant Principal.
