Job Duties

1. Under general supervision, receives, tests, prepares and repairs downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment for use in the field.
2. Receives cable from field or manufacturer and carries out tests to ensure proper function in the field.
3. Performs grounding tests, locates bad spots and makes repairs.
4. Will splice additional cable if required on a motor lead and add to surface cable.
5. Conducts weekly inventories on all cable in the yard and completes necessary paperwork.
6. Trains and coaches new hires in basic principles.
7. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
8. Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
