Job description

Responsibilities
• Ensure simulator availability, reliability, and readiness for scheduled training.
• Supervise and allocate tasks to simulator engineers during the shift.
• Select qualified engineers for specific tasks and ensure task understanding.
• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and technical guidance when needed.
• Ensure engineers are using the correct technical data, tools, and procedures.
• Conduct supervisory inspections and follow-up checks on completed maintenance.
• Monitor tool control, TDME, and technical publication assignments.
• Ensure maintenance documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Liaise with simulator instructors to align maintenance activities with training requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date shift diary and ensure handover procedures are completed.
• Support simulator engineer development through coaching and On-the-Job Training.
• Carry out secondary administrative and housekeeping duties as required.
• Ensure adherence to RSAF and BAE Systems procedures and regulations.
• Ensure all engineering tasks are completed in accordance with RSAF and BAE Systems procedures.
• Ensures that all renewable certifications for all technicians in the phases within his control are carried out in a timely manner.
• Provides sufficient direct supervision of personnel to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Support audits, safety inspections, and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure the simulator area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Support compliance with RSAF Ground Safety and Foreign Object (SAFO) program
• Apply continuous quality improvement techniques.
• Raise demands for parts or components as needed and monitor supply chain issues.
Job Requirements:
• Have at least 7 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type
• Holds 2nd signature.
• Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel.
• A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,OR
• Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.
• Relevant type training ( Q Course) and equipment specific training if required.
• Desirable:
• Have experience working knowledge of EASA Part 145 & 147.
• Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures.
• Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.
• Proven supervisory experience within the area of definition.
