Job description

BecTech is looking for two qualified field engineers with Block 1B2 CIWS experience to groom gun mounts for the Royal Saudi Navy. Specific duties include, but are not limited to assistance to Ship Repair Force (SRF) to groom and maintain the CIWS as follows:

-Work will follow the Planned Maintenance System Maintenance Index Page (MIP) 7112/1B2 and the CIWS technical manuals, TW-221-B2-MMO-010 (IETM).

-Remove, Clean, Inspect, and Re-Install Ammunition Handling System Components.

-Remove, Disassemble, Clean, Inspect, Lubricate, Re-Assemble, and Re-Install Gun.

-Troubleshoot and repair CASREPTS as requested.

-Test the CIWS system through all modes to achieve a GO status.

-Perform CIWS System Technical Assessment.

-Perform System Operability Tests (SOTS), Periodic System Operability Tests (PSOTS), and Fault Isolation Tests (FITS).

-Test transmitter output and ensure a GO status.

-Tune the Klystron as required.

-Clean and lubricate the Gun Ammunition Handling System (GAHS).

-Inspect shock isolators.

-Inspect condition of door gaskets, seals, and weatherproofing and determine if replacement is necessary.

-Inspect the Environmental Control Group (ECG).

-Test safety devices.

-Perform troubleshooting and repairs necessary to accomplish the tasks above.

This opportunity requires travel to Saudi Arabia a minimum of twice per year for 24 days. Travel, lodging, per diem, local transportation will be provided. Work will be performed under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case. Candidates must be technically qualified in CIWS manufacturer's procedures and requirements.
