Position Purpose

Responsible for managing the technical operations of agricultural warehouses, ensuring that raw materials, seeds, fertilizers, harvested crops, and farm equipment are stored, handled, and dispatched correctly. The role focuses on maintaining product quality, implementing best storage practices, and ensuring full compliance with agricultural handling standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the receipt, storage, preservation, and dispatch of agricultural products (seeds, fertilizers, chemicals, harvested crops, etc.).
2. Implement and maintain technical storage conditions based on product requirements (e.g., temperature, humidity, pest control, safe chemical storage).
3. Supervise warehouse teams and provide technical training on handling and storage procedures specific to agricultural goods.

Agronomic Support & Technical Services:

• Provide agronomic support to farmers and contract growers regarding seed handling, planting methods, and crop establishment.
• Develop technical guidelines and best practices for seed storage, cutting, and treatment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Academic and professional qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in agricultural storage, preferably in the potato or fresh produce industry.
• Experience working with seed suppliers, trial design, and data analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of potato genetics, variety performance and disease resistance.
