Adeera Hospitality is seeking a technically experienced and strategically minded Director of Technical Services to join our growing team. This critical role will oversee technical design and construction standards for new hotel projects across the Kingdom, ensuring alignment with brand vision, quality standards, and operational needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in hotel development and an ability to manage multi-stakeholder coordination, design compliance, and project delivery oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the design and technical services function for all new developments, renovations, and major capital projects.
- Provide thought leadership on design innovation, sustainability, and industry best practices.
- Design Oversight:
- Guide architectural, and interior design direction for projects to ensure alignment with brand and operational standards.
- Review and approve concept, schematic, and detailed design documents.
- Technical Review:
- Oversee technical / MEP documentation, including drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Evaluate design feasibility, constructability, and long-term maintenance implications.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, engineers, and consultants to ensure project timelines, budgets, and scopes are met.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure design integrity and technical standards are maintained.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of design and technical professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a liaison between design teams, ownership groups, contractors, and operations to balance creative vision with practical needs.
- Present design concepts and project updates to executive leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in design and technical roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience preparing project area programs and leading technical reviews
- Strong understanding of building systems, codes, construction methodologies, and sustainability standards.
- Experience working on hotel projects in the Middle East, preferably in Saudi Arabia
- Familiarity with development in Holy Cities is a plus
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, lean environment with high attention to detail and coordination
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
