Construction Safety Supervisor - Offshore

Job Description:

As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following as a minimum:

  1. Provide professional support to ensure all activities carried out onboard are in strict compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE standards.
  2. Provide expertise on all HSE-related matters on vessels in line with maritime international and company standards.
  3. Ensure effective implementation of life-saving rules.
  4. Liaise with all stakeholders onboard for HSE matters.
  5. Support vessel management and the workforce in HSE risk assessments and job safety analyses.
  6. Deliver HSE training.
  7. Participate in accident/incident investigations.
  8. Coordinate the activities of HSE officers.
  9. Perform job site safety compliance inspections, hazard analyses, and safe work procedures, and prepare written reports and recommendations.
  10. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard control systems, policies, and procedures, and recommend improvements.
  11. Review and analyze injury, property damage, and statistical loss data to prepare recommendations for corrective actions.
  12. Maintain and evaluate the continuous implementation and compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) in line with corporate standards.

Academic Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or Process Safety.

Professional Education:

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (Level-3)
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • ISO 45001:2019 Lead Auditor
  • OHS Level-6 Qualification such as NVQ, OTHAM, IDSE, QUALIFI, ProQual, or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Process Safety Management

Professional Membership:

  • Membership in any of the following organizations:
  • IIRSM (International Institute of Risk and Safety Management)
  • IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety & Health)
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • BRSP (Board of Registered Safety Professionals)
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CM-IOSH)
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas (offshore/onshore) and marine environments is preferred.
