Job Description: Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will be based in Saudi Arabia and report to the QA/QC Manager. We seek a detail-oriented, experienced Quality Control engineer to ensure smooth production lines generating a consistently top-notch output of products that meet efficiency and quality standards. Success in this role requires understanding customer requirements, excellent communication, observational and analytical skills, and knowledge of regulatory compliance. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

• Support QC Manager to develop quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality Management System (including TS16949, ISO14001 / ISO 9001 / OHSAS 18001), PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, SQA, and oversee compliance and embedding across the business.
• Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to maximize profit potential and ensure efficiency.
• Manage the audit program, supplier development, and project deliveries.
• Lead continual improvement initiatives within departments.
• Implement and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
• Update quality documentation and communicate lessons learned.
• Ensure systems and procedures meet customer and audit requirements, introducing new systems as appropriate.
• Train staff on quality procedures and conduct internal audits of the QMS.
• Manage Quality Engineers and Technicians in parts sign-off and quality concern resolution.
• Lead inspection meetings and collaborate with departments to improve quality.
• Reduce non-conforming supplier materials' impact on quality.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues.
• Stay current on changes affecting supply and demand, advising relevant teams.
• Identify improvement opportunities and deploy resources to deliver projects.
• Develop and manage KPIs, report on targets, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

People Management

• Promote high standards through personal example and team training.
• Monitor task completion and performance.

Relationship Management

• Collaborate with management to enhance operations and implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Negotiate and engage with stakeholders to ensure strategy and compliance.

Here is what you’ll need (required)…

• Bachelor of Engineering
• 8-10 years of proven experience as a quality engineer
• Results-driven with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of legal standards and quality control procedures
• Technical and IT skills; SAP or Netsuite experience is a plus
• Knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
• Quality control certification is advantageous

Preferred experiences include knowledge of fabrication, product assembly, plating, IEC standards, SASO, ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite), ISO standards, risk management, SQA, KPIs, laboratory operations, and Arabic language skills.
