Job Description
General Summary:
The Specialist - Procurement (Procurement Administrator) is responsible for managing systems and processes in the Qiddiya procurement process, including purchasing goods and services for public infrastructure projects. This role ensures procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with Qiddiya policies and legal guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Research potential vendors and suppliers, evaluating based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, service orders, and contracts, maintaining detailed procurement records.
- Coordinate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and monitor compliance with contractual obligations.
- Communicate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Administer procurement processes before initiation, including contacting suppliers and setting them up on systems like SAP Ariba.
- Set up and manage tender packages on procurement systems.
- Oversee procurement during active processes, including handling tender clarifications and queries.
- Track procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Resolve issues related to shipment delays or quality lapses with suppliers.
- Manage procurement software to streamline processes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal mandates related to procurement.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Deep knowledge of procurement processes and practical application.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- Ability to support team objectives and KPIs.
- Proficient in procurement software such as Prism, SAP, and Ariba.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of the local market; Arabic language skills are a plus.
