# Director of Housekeeping

Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic guest-focused Housekeeping professionals who pride themselves on delivering extraordinary customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests.

As a Director of Housekeeping, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department. You will guide and develop a multicultural team to meet and surpass Rotana standards in all areas. Your role involves applying your knowledge and standards to meet guest expectations, including:

  1. Maintaining all hotel guest rooms, public areas, and 'heart of house' with high standards of cleanliness
  2. Establishing standards and guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and team productivity in line with SOPs
  3. Supervising training for all housekeeping team members
  4. Measuring, interpreting, and evaluating departmental standards
  5. Fostering good relationships within and with other departments
  6. Controlling departmental purchases, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency
  7. Leading by example with professionalism and conduct
  8. Managing operational equipment, linen, and uniforms
  9. Setting short- and long-term departmental strategies
Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should hold a college/university degree with at least three years of management experience in a hotel or resort Housekeeping Department. Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Micros/Opera, and computer literacy are essential.
