TESTING ENGINEER

Position Title:

QC & Testing Engineer (MV Switchgear Product)

2. JOB PURPOSE:

Testing & inspection of Medium Voltage SRMU, OH LBS & AR.

3. JOB DIMENSIONS:

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings and schemes for electrical SRMU, single line diagrams.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for MV panels up to 36KV.
  • Knowledge of protection relay settings and testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of RTU configuration and testing.
  • Ensure all work complies with SDMS standards.
  • Preparation of quality documents such as Quality Control Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, and work instructions, in coordination with clients for approvals.
  • Develop method statements and ITPs collaboratively with project engineers; coordinate with engineers and supervisors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Identify onsite product issues, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum Experience: 5-8 years.
  • Skills: Precision, common sense, analytical skills, decision-making, general knowledge of procurement activities.
7. COMPETENCIES:
  • Computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
  • Experience with ERP and SAP is a plus.
