Job description

An Equipment Technician (Kitchen & Laundry)

Join us as an Equipment Technician (Kitchen & Laundry) at the First Vignette Collection in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel). We are seeking a hands-on, technically skilled Equipment Technician to maintain and repair kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on all kitchen and laundry appliances, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ironers, and presses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues related to kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain gas connections, thermostats, burners, and temperature controls in kitchen equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure all equipment operates within health, safety, and hygiene standards, especially regarding food safety and HACCP compliance.
  • Maintain proper documentation of repairs, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Assist in energy-saving initiatives by ensuring equipment efficiency and timely replacement of faulty components.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and hotel standards.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or a related technical field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in kitchen and/or laundry equipment maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of gas, electric, steam, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
