Responsibilities:
- Provide inputs to the development of the overall division strategy and participate in developing the business unit strategy in line with the company's vision, mission, and objectives.
- Deliver the Facilities Management strategy, ensuring contractual commitments are met.
- Manage the achievement of the business unit’s objectives by leading the Facilities and Operations team, setting objectives, managing performance, developing staff, and providing feedback to maximize performance.
- Assist the director of operations in defining an optimal structure for resources and communication within the business unit/division.
- Oversee budgeting, monitor financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Lead and manage the Facilities Management function, ensuring efficient resource planning and implementation of standards and controls.
- Discuss budgets with customers, advise on expenditures, and assess opportunities for cost reduction and asset procurement.
- Oversee maintenance operations for CNS, AGL, and Airfield Civil Works, ensuring compliance with ISO, ICAO, and GCAA standards.
- Develop and monitor SLAs, ensuring alignment with service delivery and client expectations.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure optimal resource utilization across various operational areas.
- Supervise maintenance contracts, review programs, and ensure quality maintenance works.
- Coordinate with tenants and contractors, conduct inspections, and manage fit-out works and snag lists.
- Manage procurement processes, including quotations, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
- Plan and manage staff leave to ensure operational continuity.
- Manage customer expectations through clear communication and support.
- Address escalated customer issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Conduct customer tours, gather feedback, and delegate support tasks.
- Provide technical advice, represent customer interests in third-party interfaces, and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Implement and improve policies for contract management, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
- Negotiate and renew contracts, ensuring legal and policy alignment.
- Oversee subcontracting activities, ensuring compliance and performance standards.
- Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards through audits and inspections.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Maintain safety and environmental standards, including legionella reporting, HIRA updates, and risk management.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a Master’s in Management or Facilities Management; CMMS knowledge is advantageous.
- 10–12 years’ experience in facility and operations management, including at least 2 years in a managerial role, with exposure to Maintenance and Facilities Management.
