Investment Analyst

The Investment Analyst will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, evaluating investment opportunities, and analyzing the performance of our portfolio companies. The role involves working closely within the investment team to identify potential investments, support the team in conducting due diligence, and presenting findings to the investment committee. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the startup ecosystem, financial analysis skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the investment team in conducting market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities
2. Support the investment team in conducting sector and technology mapping
3. Analyze financial statements and business models to evaluate investment opportunities
4. Contribute to the development of financial models and perform valuations to determine investment potential
5. Support senior members of the team in conducting financial and commercial due diligence on potential investments
6. Assist senior members of the team in developing investment recommendations and presenting findings to the investment committee
7. Help monitor existing investments and provide regular reports on performance
8. Work with other functions towards a unified organizational goal
9. Contribute to the development of investment thesis, social media blogs, and press releases
10. Assist senior members of the team in administrative tasks
11. Lead the deal flow tracking and management
12. Monitor the performance of portfolio companies on an ongoing basis
13. Create and maintain financial models to track investment performance and provide regular reports to senior management
14. Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio company management teams, industry experts, and other stakeholders
15. Attend meetings with portfolio companies, industry events, and other networking opportunities

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, engineering or relevant field
2. 0-3 years of experience in Venture Capital, investment banking, private equity, or a related field
3. Relevant experience in technology startups is an advantage
4. Competent analytical and financial modeling skills
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills
6. Knowledge of the startup ecosystem and emerging technologies
7. Network and relationship building
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
10. Strong work ethic and attention to detail
11. Familiarity with industry databases and research tools

The Investment Analyst will work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. The job may require occasional travel to meet with entrepreneurs or attend industry events. The position may also require working long hours or weekends, particularly during peak investment periods.
