Job description

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Aramco. Inheriting DHL's logistics excellence and Aramco's extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective:

The Compliance Director leads the organization's compliance and risk management efforts, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and ethical standards. They provide strategic direction, governance, and leadership in developing and implementing robust compliance programs to mitigate risks and foster a culture of integrity and accountability.

General Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a robust compliance framework, incorporating risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Implement an agile audit framework to proactively identify and address compliance issues.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments across all operational areas and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by overseeing compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour throughout the organization.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units to address compliance challenges and optimize operational processes.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with the organization's goals and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate compliance into the overall corporate strategy.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of compliance initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing compliance team through mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the compliance function.
  • Identify emerging regulatory trends and implement changes to policies, procedures, and practices accordingly.
  • Drive a proactive approach to change management to adapt to evolving compliance requirements and business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification in Compliance and Ethics Professional, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • 13 years experience in the same Field, out of which 5 years at a supervisory position or similar level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing compliance programs, managing regulatory relationships, and leading cross-functional teams in complex organizations.
