Job description

Aramco energizes the world economy.

Aramco occupies a special position in the global energy industry. We are one of the world’s largest producers of hydrocarbons and chemicals, with among the lowest upstream carbon intensities of any major producer.

With significant investments in technology and infrastructure, we aim to maximize the value of the energy we produce while enhancing Aramco’s societal value.

Headquartered in Saudi Arabia with offices worldwide, we combine market discipline with a forward-looking vision, built on nine decades of responsible stewardship of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility drives us to deliver societal and economic benefits locally and globally, supporting communities and economies that rely on our reliable energy supplies.

We are one of the most profitable companies globally and rank among the top five by market capitalization.

Job Description

We are seeking an Asset Integrity Engineer to join our Consulting Services Department (CSD), within the Asset Integrity Group.

Our department provides specialized engineering consultations, introduces viable technologies, and maintains quality standards for Saudi Aramco and its joint ventures.

The primary role of the Asset Integrity Engineer is to support operations and projects, provide technical consultations, and uphold standards related to the Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) and solutions.

  • Guide operating facilities in establishing and safeguarding asset integrity throughout the asset lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Initiate or conduct specialized studies to improve facilities or operations using recognized engineering practices.
  • Define asset integrity and process safety targets; establish standards to sustain operational excellence.
  • Lead the development and implementation of AIMS.
  • Coordinate with engineering design offices domestically and internationally, acting as the focal point for project reviews and technical matters.
  • Drive the implementation of an integrated medium to long-term AIMS for various asset types, including refineries, gas plants, GOSPs, LNG facilities, terminals, and infield flow & trunk lines.
  • Benchmark against international best practices, considering applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Develop assurance and reporting processes to ensure technical integrity barriers remain fit for purpose.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Material, or Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 20 years of professional experience as an asset integrity engineer in the Oil and Gas industry, with strong knowledge of standards such as ASME and API.
  • Certified Fundamental Engineer (F.E.) license.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Fitness-for-Service (FFS), Asset Life Extension, and Decommissioning.
  • Familiarity with Asset Performance Management tools and solutions.
