Job Purpose
The Inventory Manager optimizes inventory management processes for accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role oversees inventory control, storage management, order fulfillment, and cycle counting. Responsibilities include strategy development, team leadership, compliance maintenance, and performance reporting.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Oversee the entire inventory lifecycle, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, logistics, and sales, to forecast inventory needs, ensure timely replenishment, and address any inventory-related issues.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates, aging inventory, and slow-moving or obsolete items, analyzing data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Lead and mentor the inventory team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance, adherence to company policies and procedures, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory management and control, including safety, security, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on inventory performance, trends, and key metrics for management review, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain & Logistics, BA, or a related field
