Job description

Job Purpose

Responsible for evaluating content by applying the censorship compliance code and safeguarding the USP of STC TV and Jawwy TV, which is to provide safe content.

Job Responsibilities

1. Liaise with broadcaster channel providers to obtain and verify monthly channel schedules and program images.
2. Write, edit, and enhance English copy for the EPG, VOD, online platforms (including social media), and print materials.
3. Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and adheres to censorship guidelines.
4. Customize content within set character constraints while maintaining a rich, marketing-driven tone.
5. Perform QA checks on EPG features, including catch-up and time shift services, to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
6. Collaborate with the Broadcast Engineering and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the delivery of EPG and editorial files.
7. Conduct online research to inform content creation and verify program information before publication.
8. Work closely with the Arabic content team to ensure effective translation of English content, maintaining its original essence and tone.
9. Create and enhance Arabic-English synopsis information to enrich program data and provide a comprehensive user experience.

Content Management and Delivery

1. Manage the delivery and processing of all content assets received from various sources.
2. Perform transcoding, sorting, assigning, and housekeeping of assets for proper categorization and preparation for distribution.
3. Handle content delivery tasks, ensuring media products meet STC’s VOD platform requirements.

Quality Control (QC) and Compliance

1. Review and inspect media assets to ensure adherence to STC’s quality standards and compliance codes.
2. Assess video and audio quality and rate thematic content according to guidelines and compliance standards.
3. Ensure content is free from defects and complies with legal and regulatory standards before release.
