The project:

This is an opportunity to work on a large luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh, KSA. Mace is providing project management consultancy services.

  2. Client focus - Deliver on our promise:
    Act as the day-to-day operational manager for any design managers or other design management resources deployed to projects.
    Lead the delivery of design management to achieve key strategic outcomes & sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.
    Be the main point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained.
    Contribute to strategy development, develop plans, oversee delivery, and manage the achievement of the annual business plan within time and budget.
    Assess and define project strategic design management delivery.
    Implement and approve consultant appointments across all work streams when required.
    Build and lead project design teams (internal/external) to ensure correct resource allocation and clarity of project deliverables.
    Partner with multiple stakeholders, working collaboratively to implement strategies, programmes, and initiatives.
    Manage, influence, and negotiate with key senior stakeholders.
    Lead and present management review data/KPIs to senior leadership.
    Support business development and work-winning activities.
    Drive continuous process improvements, applying best practices and lessons learned.
    Ensure relevant training is identified, developed, and delivered.
    Ensure management systems are followed throughout the project lifecycle and roles and responsibilities are adhered to.
    Act as the focal point for design issues, maintaining client relationships.
    Provide leadership and strategic direction for all design engineering activities, including external stakeholders.
    Collaborate towards the net zero carbon transition, proactively managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

    Implement and execute design management systems, processes, and protocols to meet statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.
    Influence the long-term development of strategies for the business unit, creating a sustainable future.

Requirements:

  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy, required for immigration and client approval.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
