With our significant investment in technology and infrastructure, we strive to maximize the value of the energy we produce for the world along with a commitment to enhance Aramco’s value to society.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with offices around the world, we combine market discipline with a forward-looking view of the future, born of our nine decades of experience as responsible stewards of the Kingdom’s vast hydrocarbon resources. This responsibility has driven us to deliver significant societal and economic benefits to not just the Kingdom, but also to communities, economies, and countries that rely on the vital and reliable energy that we supply.

We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as among the top five global companies by market capitalization.

Overview

We are seeking a Carbon Capture & Sequestration Transaction Professional to join our carbon capture & sequestration (CCS) department.

The CCS department is responsible for developing and deploying advanced technologies and strategies that enable large-scale removal and permanent storage of carbon dioxide from industrial emissions.

As a Carbon Capture & Sequestration Transaction Professional, you will lead, develop, implement, and execute strategies to enhance the commercial viability of CCS in global markets. You will also negotiate definitive agreements and assist in screening, analyzing, planning, and leading transactions from origination to final investment and post-transaction phases.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Conduct market research; analyze industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive dynamics.
  2. Identify, develop, and establish long-term partnerships with local and international entities to promote new business and execute investment opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align business development and transaction activities with target objectives.
  4. Determine the scope and objectives of transactions, offering commercial solutions to meet Aramco's business requirements.
  5. Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to assess the viability of CCS projects.
  6. Lead the development of business offering packages for potential investors and partners.
  7. Prepare transaction approval documents at each stage, managing the required reviews and approvals.
  8. Lead cross-functional transaction project teams from origination to final investment and post-transaction.
  9. Engage with financial advisors, lenders, and environmental, commercial, and technical consultants.
  10. Present CCS opportunities and updates to corporate and executive management.
  11. Organize and participate in industry networking events and engagement sessions for business development.
Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will hold a:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  2. Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in commercial roles, with a proven track record in analyzing companies, screening potential investors and partners, negotiating agreements, and leading transactions from origination to final investment and post-transaction.
  3. Proven ability to coordinate with legal counsel and other advisors to develop successful commercial agreements.
