Job description

Job Purpose - The Product Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing marketing activities, as well as supporting the Sales team to meet suppliers' commitments, market share, and GPM targets for the assigned product lines.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Set marketing plans and annual targets for specific products and coordinate their achievement with the area/country sales teams.
  2. Coordinate and sometimes deliver customer training and technical and clinical presentations.
  3. Prepare for and lead new product launches, including preparing pamphlets, brochures, and organizing seminars.
  4. Arrange the use of demo equipment for the assigned products.
  5. Create and maintain close working relations with suppliers, including requesting discounts, demos, and other support, ensuring commitments and forecasts are met.
  6. Establish and develop close relationships with KOLs and leverage these relationships to promote products to other customers.
  7. Support the sales team in closing major sales deals.
  8. Serve as the authority on market intelligence, including market size, trends, market shares, and competitor analysis (product features, pricing, support, etc.).
  9. Report on marketing campaigns and sales achievements.
  10. Develop the technical knowledge of sales and engineering staff regarding the assigned products.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Veterinary Sciences, Biomedical/Electronic Engineering, Medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in medical sales; experience in medical product management is a major advantage.
  • Competencies/Skills: Financial/numerical skills; Technical or clinical background; Marketing; Business planning.
  • Additional Qualifications: Team player; adaptable; passionate about work; negotiation skills; interpersonal and communication skills.
