Job Description Summary

The Technician will be responsible for site installation and commissioning of GIS and AIS switchgear. During the service, GE will provide assignments, projects, and tasks related to his major, helping develop leadership capabilities, communication skills, and exposure to the work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Hands-on experience in E&C of 230 & 380 KV substations. Knowledge of electrical systems of switchgear equipment.
2. Knowledge of GIS & AIS switchgear, electrical panels, MCC, and electrical distribution systems.
3. Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical substations.
4. Understand and execute repairing & preventive maintenance.
5. Read electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment issues.
6. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of substations.
7. Maintain back-office reports, test reports, and customer documentation at site.
8. Consult and coordinate with OEM for unresolved repair issues.
9. Provide technical assistance for installation or project pre-arrangements.
10. Lead or participate as part of a team at the site, allocating responsibilities to team members.
11. Participate in safety, quality, and productivity continuous improvement initiatives.
12. Understand the importance of safety at the site and perform LOTO operations.

Required Qualifications

1. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of onsite experience in electrical fields.
3. Experience in E&C of 230 & 380 KV substations.
4. Knowledge of electrical switchgear systems.
5. Knowledge of GIS & AIS switchgear, electrical panels, MCC, and distribution systems.
6. Willingness to relocate within Saudi Arabia as per business needs.
7. Fluency in English and Arabic.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
9. Legal right to work in KSA without sponsorship (KSA nationals preferred).
