Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager Sales & Distribution to lead our national sales and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG sales, a deep understanding of modern and traditional trade, and hands-on experience with logistics and supply chain functions to ensure efficient product delivery and market penetration.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans in alignment with business goals.
  • Drive revenue growth across GT, MT, e-commerce, and institutional channels.
  • Lead and mentor regional sales teams to achieve volume and value targets.
  • Manage P&L for the sales function.

Distribution & Logistics:

  • Oversee end-to-end distribution operations ensuring high service levels and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and dispatch planning.
  • Strengthen last-mile delivery and distribution network across geographies.
  • Implement and monitor distributor performance metrics and service agreements.

Market Development:

  • Expand footprint in underpenetrated markets.
  • Launch new products and drive market activation plans.
  • Build strong trade and channel partnerships.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage sales data and insights for forecasting, territory planning, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor key KPIs including secondary sales, coverage, productivity, and fill rates.

Desired Profile:

  • Experience: 15+ years in FMCG Sales & Distribution with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Qualification: MBA in Sales/Marketing or related field preferred.
