# Field Service Engineer
You will work as a Field Service Engineer to execute installation, testing, and commissioning activities at customer sites or Hitachi Energy projects related to HV products, including third-party HV products if applicable and authorized by Hitachi Energy management. You will actively participate in site activities and visit customers for installation, testing, and commissioning of Hitachi HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB, and other equipment as assigned by the line manager. You will coordinate with the tools management department, take care of HV tools, and ensure proper use of Hitachi Energy HV test equipment and tools during site activities for HV product installation, testing, and commissioning, including protection and control.
You will complete GIS installation and compartment assembly work, perform minor fabrications if required, troubleshoot, and rectify HV product defects at customer sites. You will advise on action plans if repairs need to be carried out at Hitachi Energy's factory or workshop. You will support PGHV Service activities at the site or customer workplace. You will learn and perform tests using equipment for HV product testing and maintenance at sites, customer premises, or Hitachi Energy workplaces. You will learn how to use tools for HV service jobs.
You will collaborate with the Project Management team on various projects, ensuring full compliance with PM requirements and site regulations. You will lead contractors or subcontractors during job execution and coordinate with customers and back-office support for resource requirements. After task completion, you will obtain signatures on PAC or timesheets for invoicing purposes. You will prepare and share site reports, activity plans, and resource requirements with the PM, line manager, or supervisor. You will adhere to company rules and regulations, demonstrate good behavior at the office and site, and report any safety or integrity incidents to the line manager, supervisor, or project manager.

You will prepare and submit weekly and monthly timesheets and expense reports as per company guidelines, and obtain travel authorization prior to travel for site or deployment activities.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. The candidate should have 3 to 4 years of experience with high voltage products, electrical equipment, switchgears, HV switchgear protection and control, monitoring and measuring devices, in industries or utilities. Computer literacy and excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential.
