Job description

About the Role: The Legal Advisor will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the organization. This includes reviewing and drafting legal documents, advising on legal issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, acting as secretary for certain boards or committees and assist the Chief Legal & Assurance Officer for any of the day-to-day legal activities related to the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to the organization on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, MoUs, Cooperation Agreements, sale and purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, M&A, joint ventures, vendor agreements, NDAs, policies and procedures.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal topics.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings, as may be required by the Chief Legal & Assurance Officer.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues and provide guidance.
  • Stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and summarize the required compliance requirements for respective business units.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, and proactively update the company's processes and procedures.
  • Assisting the secretary of the board to generate minutes of meetings and follow up action plan.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in law (LLB), preferred a Master's degree in law (LLM) or related field.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Admission to the Bar Association in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a legal advisor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the organization's operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in Saudi laws including companies law, real estate laws, civil transaction law, agency law, franchise law, commercial laws and others.
  • Saudi Litigation Experience.
  • Experienced in creating and delivering professional-grade presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, to support legal operations and reporting.
