Job description

To manage and process import documentation accurately and efficiently, while providing professional customer service support to clients and stakeholders. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Import Documentation

  • Prepare, verify, and process all import-related documents such as arrival notices, delivery orders, and manifest corrections.
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents for timely clearance and release of cargo.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of import manifest data to relevant authorities.
  • Update and maintain shipment records in internal systems and documentation platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in shipment documentation.

Customer Service

  • Act as the primary point of contact for import customers, addressing queries and concerns related to shipments and documentation.
  • Provide proactive updates to customers on shipment arrivals, clearance status, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints or issues by liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain organized records of customer communications and feedback to support service quality improvement.
  • Foster long-term customer relationships through responsive and professional support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in import documentation or customer service within the logistics or shipping industry.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of import processes, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and [local language, if applicable].
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and shipping/ERP systems.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
